The 1st Livestock and Poultry Summit was held 23 July 2004 at the Philippine Carabao Center in Munoz, Nueva Ecija. The Summit brought together all stakeholders in the
|
|
different commodity groups or industries. There were those from government, producer groups, feeds and
veterinary sector, the academe, lending institutions and the different industry associations. A total of 400 participants registered for the Summit consisting of 129 from government and 271 from the different livestock and poultry producers and processors.
The Road Maps of the different commodity groups were refined, additional inputs provided and strategies for their implementation defined.

| The Summit successfully secured the commitments of the different groups to support the Road Maps and jointly work for their implementation. |
