The livestock sub-sector prices accelerated by 27.53 percent. The biggest gainer was the hog commodity which registered a 32.17 percent increase. Goat price experienced a 10.49 % price hike, followed by carabao at 10.47% , cattle at 9.85 % and dairy at 5.15 percent..

     Of the total value, livestock production accounted for P145 billion while poultry production accounted for P115 billion. On an aggregate basis, livestock and poultry production accounted for a third of the total value of agriculture production in 2004.
